SECTION 1 - NCR Index
The NCR Index is located within the NCR portal: https://staging.2020inspections.com/ncr-rfi/ncr.
Main Search Features
At the top of the NCR Index page, you will find the main search bar. This allows you to search for:
- Projects
- NCR Numbers
- Authors
- Date Ranges
Note:
- As a Project Manager (PM), you will only see NCRs for projects where you are listed as the Primary or Secondary PM.
- As a Chief, you will only see NCRs related to inspections where you are assigned as the Chief.
Filters
To the right of the search section, you will see:

Main Filters: These provide a quick view of the following metrics:
- Total NCRs
- Open NCRs
- Closed NCRs

Secondary Filters: These allow you to filter NCRs based on various statuses, such as:
- PM Review Status
- Chief Review Status
- Distribution Status
Main Datagrid Columns
The NCR Index datagrid contains the following columns:

NCR Number
- A unique numeric identifier assigned to each NCR.

Project Code
- The code of the project under which the NCR was created.

Inspection
- The inspection during which the NCR was generated.

Date Submitted
- The date the NCR was initially created by the author (not necessarily the open date).

Due Date
- The deadline for receiving a response before escalation is required.

Author
- The person who created and submitted the NCR.

Flag
- Indicates the NCR's status:
- Manual: User-flagged NCR.
- Overdue: NCR is still open, and no response has been received.
- Indicates the NCR's status:

NCR Status
- Displays the current stage of the NCR:
- Pending: NCR has not been marked as open yet.
- Open: The PM has opened the NCR and distributed it to the client.
- Closed: The NCR was resolved and closed by the PM.
- Displays the current stage of the NCR:

PM Status
- Tracks the PM's progress:
- PM Pending Chief Review: Awaiting the Chief’s review.
- PM Pending Review: Awaiting the PM’s review.
- PM Accepted: The PM has reviewed and approved the NCR.
- PM Pending Inspection Revision: The PM has identified issues and is awaiting revisions from the author.
- Tracks the PM's progress:

Chief Status
- Tracks the Chief’s progress:
- PM Pending Review: Awaiting the Chief’s review.
- Chief Approved: The Chief has reviewed and accepted the NCR.
- Chief Pending Inspection Revision: The Chief identified issues and is awaiting revisions from the author.

Distribution Status
- Tracks the NCR distribution process:
- Pending Distribution: NCR has not yet been distributed.
- Distributed: The latest revision of the NCR has been sent to the client.
- Pending New Distribution: A new revision has been created and is awaiting distribution.

SECTION 2 - NCR Details
When you open an NCR, you will be taken to the NCR Details page, which is similar in layout to reports.
At the very top, the page is divided into three main sections:
- NCR Details
- NCR Data
- Files
NCR Details Section
This section displays the General Details of the NCR, including:
- Project Code
- Date Submitted
- Due Date
- Opened Date
- Level
- Author
- Report ID: The ID of the inspection report linked to this NCR. (Clickable, takes you to the related report.)

Revision Number: Displays the current revision number.
- A symbol next to the revision number allows you to:
- View the Revision History
- Download older revisions of the NCR
- A symbol next to the revision number allows you to:
Below the revision number, you will find two action buttons:
- Orange Circle with a Pen: Sends the NCR back to the author for revision.
- Green Checkmark: Marks the NCR as acceptable.
At the very top of this section, you will also see:
- A Colored Circle: Indicates the Distribution Status.
- The NCR Number.
- The current Status of the NCR: Pending, Open, or Closed.
If the NCR is ready to be closed, you can close it by clicking the "Open" button.
Project Details Section
Below the NCR Header, the Project Details section provides additional project information, including:
- Project Address
- Chief
- Project Manager
- Inspection Duration
- POC (Point of Contact)
Distribution Details Section
This section displays distribution information, including:
- Date of Distribution
- Recipient(s)
Assignment Details Section
The Assignment Details section includes:
- Request Date
- Assignment Notes
- Other Inspections Conducted on the same day
NCR Data Section
This NCR Data Section allows you to view the raw data of the NCR report as well as all the responses entered by the author.
Files Section
This NCR Files section shows all uploaded files corresponding to the NCR that the Project Manager has uploaded or supporting documents entered by the author. This will also be where the Final Document indicating the resolution which the Project Manager uploads when closing the NCR will display.
SECTION 3 - NCR Database
The NCR Database can be accessed by clicking on the paper button on the main NCR Index page, as shown in the example image below.
SECTION 4 - Automatic NCR/RFI Numbering
NCRs and RFIs are automatically numbered, starting from 1 by default.
However, the Project Manager can adjust the starting number for NCRs and RFIs by following these steps:
- Navigate to the Project Page.
- Go to the Configuration section.
- Update the starting number as needed.
- Click Save to apply the changes.
Important Note:
- Changing the starting number will automatically renumber all existing NCRs and RFIs in the project.
- This can cause confusion for users, so please proceed with caution when renumbering.
