How are Overtime Requests created and what are they?
Field Engineers create Overtime Requests when they are in the field. These requests are necessary when an Inspector's assignment, scheduled for a specific time, requires additional time to complete. In such cases, the Inspector must submit an Overtime Request, which must be approved by an authorized individual in the office.

Overtime Request Preview
You can preview the details of an Overtime Request by clicking on the Eye icon in the action section of the request. This page displays the Assignment Details, including the original scheduled time of the inspection, the amount of requested overtime, Assignment Request Notes, and the Reason for the overtime request provided by the inspector when creating the request.
Below these details, if the status is Accepted or Rejected, you will see the Status Details, which include the following information: Approved/Rejected By, Approval/Rejection Date and Time, Triggered By, and any Comments made during the approval or rejection process.
'Triggered By' refers to the person who actually initiated the approval or rejection. For example, if the Field Inspector calls the office and receives approval over the phone, then marks it as approved on their tablet, they must indicate who approved it by listing that name next to 'Approved/Rejected By,' while their own name will appear under 'Triggered By.' If the Project Manager themselves approves or rejects the request, their name will be listed under both 'Approved/Rejected By' and 'Triggered By.
Under 'PM Review,' you'll find the PM Review Details, which include the name of the person who reviewed and approved/rejected the request, along with the date, time, and any comments. If the Project Manager approves or rejects an Overtime Request, both the Status and PM Review will be automatically updated in one action to avoid redundancy.
